Without doubt, one of the best attractions about staying at Ferry Cottage is our Argyll location in the Loch Lomond National Park. Situated between Loch Lomond and Loch Long and with perfect views to the Arrochar Alps it is the perfect environment for hillwalking, mountain climbing, watersports and mountain biking.

Loch cruises and boat and bike hire are available locally and fishing is extremely popular with the choice of sea loch and fresh water river and loch in close proximity. There is an abundance of hill and forest walks including paths through the Argyll forest following the routes of the Vikings as they dragged their longships across the small strip of land between Loch Long and Loch Lomond. There are Viking graves in the cemetery by the old church at Ballyhennan and on various days in the summer you can catch a glimpse of the Waverley, the last ocean going paddle steamer in the world!

Ferry Cottage is within easy reach of Glasgow Airport (45mins), and provides an excellent location from which to visit Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Stirling, The Trossachs, The Mull of Kintyre and Argyll and Inverarey.
